I began investing in 1969.

Over the past four decades, I have worked professionally in the investment field, beginning my career in 1985—as an investor, an entrepreneur, and a financial educator.

I co-founded a large investment advisory firm and helped build it over many years. I passed the Uniform CPA Examination and earned a Master's Degree in Geography from the University of Utah, though I was never licensed as a CPA. Throughout my career, I have spent a lifetime studying the incentives that drive markets, governments, and institutions.

Markets Without Spin is the culmination of those experiences.

It is an exploration of why things happen—not simply what happened.
